One of the main results of network – compendium of best practices of local tourism services/products.
Best practice example – it is any kind of service or product, which is popular among tourists. Partners collected only innovative (on national or European level) and sustainable (having constant profit, working during all seasons) tourism services and products.
All best practice examples are described according to united questionnaire provided below.
During partner meeting in certain country partners had study visits to successful companies and organizations, met with their owners.
Best practice examples are collected into compendium, which contains tips, how to establish a successful tourism organization or company.
Network organizations will use this compendium for improvement their formal or/and informal training programmes for adults, spread best practice examples for people, willing to establish their own tourism business.
Compendium of best practice examples is the part of big product – “Innovative Tourism Kit”, which will contain (apart best practice examples) learning materials, instructions and tips, how to organize new service or product (for instance, how to evaluate the risk, cope with difficulties and etc.). It is planned to prepare and publish “Innovative Tourism Kit” under another Nordplus project (Development or Nordplus Horizontal) in the next few years.
Responsible organization for collection of best practice examples is Härjedalens Kulturcentrum from Sweden.
